BIG RAPIDS – A fourth-place finish in the NCAA Division II Midwest/South Central Super Regional has the Ferris men’s golf team competing in the NCAA Division II National Championship Tournament for the first time since 2007.
This is the 13th time the men’s golf team is set to compete in the national championships and you have to think head coach Michael Mignano could hardly be any happier.
The Bulldogs (with a three-round score of 875) tied for fourth place with Indianapolis behind first-place Wayne State, second-place Northeastern State and third-place Central Missouri State in an event played at The Meadows in Allendale and hosted by Grand Valley State University.
In the regional, Eric Lilleboe was the top golfer for the Bulldogs as he fired a three-round score of 213 to finish tied for fourth on the leaderboard.
The NAA Division II Men’s Golf Championships will be played in Blaine, Wash. and hosted by Western Washington University.
