MEDIA COVERAGE PLANS ANNOUNCED FOR FERRIS BASKETBALL GAMES
News Talk 1460 AM To Air Women's GLIAC Tourney Contest Live From GVSU
Media coverage plans have been announced for Ferris State University's respective men's and women's quarterfinal-round basketball games in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament slated for Tuesday (Feb. 28) evening.
Local radio station News Talk 1460 AM (WBRN) will broadcast the Bulldog women's basketball team's opening-round league tourney outing against archrival Grand Valley State live from GVSU's Fieldhouse Arena in Allendale, Mich. Jason DaDay will provide the play-by-play coverage for the contest, which tips off at 6 p.m. (EST). It is tentatively slated to be webcast at www.ferris.edu/sports.
No local radio or internet coverage is currently slated for Tuesday’s Ferris men's basketball 7 p.m. (EST) home quarterfinal against Northern Michigan inside Jim Wink Arena at Big Rapids, Mich. However, live internet statistics will be available while the game is in progress on the FSU Athletics Website (www.ferris.edu/sports) and can be accessed by clicking on the "Live Stats" icon.
Tuesday’s men's basketball game is also tentatively slated to be aired through the NMU Athletics Website at www.nmu.edu/sports with Nate Rose from Northern Star Broadcasting (WIMK) calling the play-by-play action.
A broadcast of the women's game will also be accessible via the Grand Valley State Athletics Website at www.gvsulakers.com.
