** Ferris State, which finished the 2002-03 campaign at 15-11 overall and 10-8 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) action, reached the GLIAC Tournament for the fourth consecutive year and posted its seventh straight 10-win campaign last season.
** Sixth-year FSU head coach Tracey Fisk presently ranks as the schoolís all-time winningest coach and is second among Ferrisí leaders in career coaching victories. Fisk has compiled a 85-51 (.625) record in five seasons at Ferris State.
** Senior guard Lucy DeMartinís (Mason) team-leading scoring average (20.2 ppg) last season ranked first among the schoolís all-time leaders and placed second in the GLIACís overall statistical rankings. The two-time (2002-03) GLIAC All-Academic Team pick compiled a school-record 525 points last year while attaining 2002-03 Verizon Academic All-District IV College Division Women's Basketball First-Team accolades. The 5-9 DeMartin was also a first-team All-GLIAC North Division and Daktronics Division II All-Great Lakes Region honoree. A 2001-02 Verizon Academic All-District IV Second-Teamer, DeMartin was named the GLIAC's North Division Player of the Week three times (Dec. 2 and 16, Feb. 24) in 2002-03. She posted 26 double-figure scoring outings, including 13 20-plus point performances last season.
** Senior forward/center Bridget Horwitz (Auburn, Ind./DeKalb), a two-time (12/9, 2/17) GLIAC North Division Player of the Week last season, totaled 420 points (16.8 ppg) and a team-leading 210 rebounds (8.4 rpg) in 25 appearances during the 2002-03 campaign. The 6-2 Horwitz scored 10 points or more in 22 games while notching nine double-double (scoring & rebounding) performances. She was also named to the All-GLIAC North Division Second-Team last season.
** Sophomore guard Erin Miller (Niles) was the recipient of the GLIACís 2002-03 Freshman of the Year Award after ranking as the teamís third-leading scorer (12.5 ppg). Miller posted 17 double-figure scoring performances last season and concluded the year ranked second among Ferris' assists leaders (3.2 apg). The 5-7 Miller scored 10 points or more in eight of her last 11 outings and compiled four 20-plus point contests while starting all 26 games during the 2002-03 campaign.
** FSU has posted six-straight winning seasons. The Bulldogs last reached the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Regional Tournament during the 1999-2000 campaign.
