RADIO COVERAGE PLANS ANNOUNCED FOR FERRIS-TOLEDO MEN'S BASKETBALL CONTEST
News Talk 1460 AM WBRN Will Air Saturday's Game Live From Toledo
The Ferris State University Athletics Department has announced the Bulldog men's basketball game against NCAA Division I Toledo (Ohio) scheduled for this Saturday, Dec. 10, will be broadcast live locally on News Talk 1460 AM (WBRN).
Ferris State Assistant Athletics Communications Director Rob Bentley will handle the play-by-play duties for the non-conference contest, which tips off at 7 p.m. (EST) in UT's Savage Hall at Toledo, Ohio. No Ferris internet webcast will be available due to programming conflicts.
All of FSU’s 2005-06 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) games will also be carried live by the new WBRN. Selected contests can be accessed live via the internet by clicking on the Bulldog Athletics Webcasts icon at www.ferris.edu/sports. Jason DaDay will handle play-by-play duties for the conference home games with Rob Bentley taking care of all GLIAC road contests.
Saturday's outing at Toledo is the only non-league men's basketball game currently scheduled to be aired this season.
The Ferris State University men's basketball team, which is currently 4-2 overall this campaign, has won four consecutive outings to date. Before squaring off against the Rockets, the Bulldogs will first host West Michigan archrival Grand Valley State this Thursday, Dec. 8, in an 8 p.m. (EST) league tilt at FSU's Jim Wink Arena in Big Rapids, Mich. GVSU and Ferris presently lead the league's North Division with identical 2-0 conference marks.
