The second annual Ferris State University Men's Basketball Alumni and Friends Golf Outing will be held Monday, July 25, at St. Ives Golf Club in Canadian Lakes, Mich.
The four-person golf scramble serves as one of the program’s primary fundraising events. The 18-hole outing will begin with registration at 7:30 a.m., and an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start.
The entry fee, which is $100 per person or $400 a team, includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, coffee and donuts prior to tee off, a luncheon following play, raffle, silent auction and many other activities throughout the round. A great package of team and individual prizes will also be awarded. In addition, members of the Bulldog men's basketball team, coaching staff and various FSU Athletics Department staff will be on hand throughout the day.
Business and individual sponsorships are also available, including tee or green sponsorships ($100), a cart sponsorship ($500) and an outing sponsorship ($1000). Exclusive hole sponsorships are available for $175 while the cost of a foursome along with a tee or green sponsorship is $475.
St. Ives is a course of both magnificent challenges and enviable beauty. Glacier carved highlands and sprawling wetlands provide guests with a breathtaking setting for a memorable round of golf. Established in 1995 and designed by Jerry Matthews, St. Ives has received several prestigious awards, including the highest honor in golf - a 5 Star rating from Golf Digest. Last year's initial Alumni and Friends Outing was held at St. Ives' sister course, Tullymore Golf Club.

Ferris State capped off a banner 2004-05 season under third-year head coach Bill Sall with a runner-up finish in the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Regional Tournament (March 12-15) held in Findlay, Ohio. FSU reached the regional championship game for only the third time in school history this past season.
The Bulldogs, who also won their second-straight Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) North Division Championship with a 13-5 league mark this campaign, concluded the year with a 24-7 overall record and fell one game shy of advancing to the NCAA-II Elite Eight for the second time ever. FSU's 24 victories this campaign represented the third-most wins in school history.
