Feb. 28: FSU Coach Edgar Wilson Steps Down

Ferris State University announced the resignation of Head Men's Basketball Coach Edgar Wilson today. Wilson's resignation comes at the end of his sixth season with the Bulldogs, highlighted by a GLIAC Championship and a trip to the NCAA Division II Playoffs in 1997-98.

According to Athletics Director Tom Kirinovic, Wilson will be missed by administrators and players alike.

"We would like to thank Coach Wilson for his efforts on and off the court in support of the University and our athletes," said Kirinovic. "We wish him every success in his future endeavors-our task now is to hire a new head coach who will continue Edgar's efforts to improve the basketball program here at Ferris State."

Wilson expressed gratitude to the Ferris State University community for his time with the Bulldogs.

"This has been a great opportunity and learning experience for me," said Wilson. "I appreciate and thank the Ferris State administration, student-athletes and fans for their support."
