Openings are still available for the 2009 Ferris State University Men's Basketball Instructional Camp, which will be held June 22-24 at FSU's Jim Wink Arena in Big Rapids, Mich.
The commuter camp is open to boys in grades 3-8 (fall '09 grade levels) and will run from 9 a.m. (ET) to 12 p.m. (ET) each day at a cost of $75 per person.
The primary focus of the camp is to provide each camper with the essentials needed to develop the basic fundamentals of the game. Campers will receive instruction tailored to their level of expertise. The goal of this camp is to encourage their interest in basketball in an environment full of fun, challenges and education. Plenty of games and competitive events will also be offered. The coaching staff ensures each camper will learn the basic skills of the game and have a great deal of fun participating in the game of basketball.
In addition to instruction, the camp will also feature contests such as 7-up, Hotshot, Beat the Pro and organized league play. Each camper will receive an official camp t-shirt and instruction will be provided by both college coaches and players under the direction of FSU head coach Bill Sall and assistant coach Cory Anderson.
