Laura Crower has raised her batting average by 102 points over the past month. The junior first baseman is hitting .333 this month compared to .231 in March.

Senior outfielder Emily McLean's (Rogers City) 11 doubles in 32 games this campaign represents a career best, eclipsing her nine doubles in 51 outings during the 2005 season.

Emily McLean, who has compiled 81 career RBIs in 141 contests to date, is one shy of tying Anne Koltvedt (1998-01) for eighth place. McLean's 19 RBIs this season already equals her second-highest RBI season total set in 38 games during her sophomore year in 2004.

Senior second baseman Lindsay Riskovitch (Reese) has posted a career-high seven doubles in 32 games this season, which surpasses her six doubles in 47 2005 encounters.

Junior pitcher Jenna Thiede (LaSalle/Airport) made her 2006 season debut at Wayne State (4/5), allowing five runs on seven hits while recording four strikeouts. Thiede was 12-6 with a 2.89 earned run average in 24 appearances for the 2005 campaign.

Junior first baseman Laura Crower (Midland) is hitting .333 (8-24) in eight April encounters this spring compared to batting .231 (12-52) in 20 March contests. Redshirt freshman pitcher-outfielder Sarah Mueller (Santa Clarita, Calif./Venice) has also raised her batting average by hitting .346 (9-26) this month in seven games after tallying a .222 average (10-45) in 16 games for March.

Ferris State has outscored its opponents 17-7 in the seventh inning this season but also has been outscored 24-7 in the first inning.

The Bulldogs are 9-1 this season when leading after four innings and are 1-17 when trailing following the game's initial four frames.

Head coach Keri Becker has registered a combined 43-11-0 career coaching mark against this week's opponents - Calvin, Aquinas, Gannon, and Mercyhurst. Becker is 14-4-0 against Gannon while posting 13-3-0 records versus Aquinas and Mercyhurst.
