FERRIS STATE TO HOLD HOCKEY AWARDS BANQUET

Team And Individual Honors To Be Presented At April 17 Banquet

Hockey Team Photo The Ferris State University men’s ice hockey program will hold its annual awards banquet Saturday, April 17, at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center Ballroom in Big Rapids, Mich.

The 2003-04 season-ending event, which is sponsored by the FSU Blueline Club, will start at 6 p.m. (EDT) with a social while dinner will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m. The program will commence at 7:30 p.m. Ferris State’s five graduating seniors – Trevor Large (Brampton, Ont.), Derrick McIver (Thunder Bay, Ont.), Simon Mangos (Caledon, Ont.), Brett Smith (Guelph, Ont.), and Matt Swanson (Clinton Township) will be honored along with the rest of the 2003-04 Bulldog team. Team and individual awards will also be distributed.

The cost for the dinner is $20 for adults and $10 for children under age 12. FSU Blueline Club President Kevin Courtney will serve as the master of ceremonies.

Ferris State concluded the 2003-04 campaign at 15-20-3 overall and 10-17-1 in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA).
