Crimson & Gold Intrasquad Launches New Season

The contest, which is slated for a 6 p.m. (EDT) opening faceoff at FSU's Ewigleben (pronounced A-VAH-glave-in) Ice Arena in Big Rapids, will showcase those student-athletes comprising the 2001-02 Bulldog hockey team. Following the contest, the annual Skate with the Bulldogs will be conducted from 7:15 to 8 p.m. and an autograph session will be included in that time frame.

A skills competition involving current team members will be conducted in between the contest's first two periods.

Ticket prices for the game are $3 and may be purchased at the door. Skate rental is $2 per pair of ice skates.

Ferris State will open its 2001-02 season Friday, Oct. 5, with a home exhibition game against the University of Waterloo (Ontario). Start time is scheduled for 7:35 p.m. (EDT) at Ewigleben Ice Arena. The Bulldogs officially begin the 2001-02 campaign the following weekend (Oct. 12-13) against the Wayne State University Warriors. Opening faceoff for the non-conference series is slated for 7:05 p.m. (EDT) both games at the Great Lakes Sports Complex in Fraser, Mich.
