Help your student list the ways to
reach his or her greatest academic potential this year by
developing good study habits, such as
- making a day-to-day commitment sheet,
setting aside specific time to study for each class
- concentrating on what he or she
is reading, not simply skimming text

Talk to other parents you may know whose student attends Ferris. Discover why they and their student chose Ferris. For example, a parent whose student is in the Honors Program says,
"The dorms are wonderful compared to what Ive seen
at other schools. That sold me as a mother, knowing my student
would have a good living environment."
Juniors who are prospective college athletes must file with
the NCAA Clearinghouse toward the end of the year. Encourage your athlete to get application information from his or her high school counselor.
