Frequently Asked Questions About Birkam Health Center

What are the costs associated with being seen as a patient at the Health Center?

Fees

Registered students pay a non-mandatory Health Fee per semester which permits them to receive continual medical services at a reduced cost. This fee helps to fund and maintain the Health Center and keep it easily accessible to students. Waiver of the health fee, if done by the fifth day of classes, still enables the student to use the Health Center but at an additional cost per each service.

Nominal charges are made for professional services offered at the Health Center. A student never needs cash on hand to see the doctor should (s)he become sick or injured.

There are several payment methods available for the convenience of students.

  • Cash
  • Convenient payment plan - ten percent payment once every two weeks
  • Bulldog Card
  • Credit Card (Discover, Master Charge, Visa)
  • Tuition Account (Student can choose to transfer the bill to his/her tuition account).
