All new students have the opportunity to attend an orientation program before enrollment and the beginning of classes. Fall semester orientation occurs during the summer and just before the opening of school in August. Winter and summer sessions have orientation just prior to the start of classes. Orientation material is mailed to all new students after their admission to FSU. Orientation sessions combine serious business and fun activities to help you get the right start. Academic advising and registration for classes are accomplished in orientation, along with activities designed to acquaint you with campus, make new friends and prepare you to begin the school year.
