Tricia Walding-Smith is the Assistant Director of Emergency Management. Ms. Walding-Smith assists Chief Marty Bledsoe with emergency prevention, preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation efforts. She helps to coordinate the Campus Community Emergency Response Team (C-CERT) and is responsible for several preparedness education initiatives. She is also involved with emergency notification systems. Prior to her Ferris experience, Ms. Walding-Smith worked as a Homeland Security Planner with St. Clair County Homeland Security and Emergency Management. She is recognized by the Michigan State Police- Emergency Management Homeland Security Division as a Professional Emergency Manager.
