Frequently Asked Questions
Below are a list of frequently asked questions. If your question is not listed here, please contact Foundation Assistant Kim Erickson
- Will my application be funded? Although there are many exceptional proposals submitted, funding is limited. Only those that best meet the critera will ultimately be funded.
- I can't complete my application on time. Can I have extra time? Only those proposals submitted by the deadline will be considered.
- What if I can't get a signature on time? In preparing your proposal, it is important to communicate with your Dean/Department Head/Chair or Vice President/supervisor and arrange for signatures within the allowed time period. Applications without proper signatures will not be considered.
- Are there samples available to view? Yes. You can view winning applications at the Foundation Office. Contact Foundation Assistant Kim Erickson by email or by phone at 231.591.2365.
- Help! I click on the submit button and it won't work! Make sure you print out a couple copies right away. We also advise that you write your proposal in Word, then copy and paste it into the form. If the settings on your computer are not compatible with the form, it can cause issues with submitting. You may get the option of saving the data file when you click submit. If this is an option, save it, then attach it to an email and send it to ericksok@ferris.edu with the subject "Merit Grant Application." If you need more assistance, call Mary Kay at x3739 right away, and she will help you. You can also reach her by cell at 250.9920.
