The Foundation Board of Directors met on Tuesday, June 27 in the Timme Center for Student Services. Dr. Eisler gave an update on the University and shared with the Board the following: Ferris will increase the requirements for ACT scores, students will need a 17 or higher; summer enrollment numbers are up and we continue to see increased retention and graduation rates.

Dr. Duffett presented an update on University Advancement and Marketing. He discussed the numerous events held since the last board meeting, including Spring Reunion, the Evening of Appreciation dinner, the Alumni Association golf outing and the Presidential Bus Tour.

Carla Miller updated that the Foundation's mini-campaigns for need-based scholarships and the Jim Crow Museum is in process and will conclude in November 2006.

The Board approved the two students selected to receive the Ferris Foundation for Excellence Scholarship. The students will receive an award equaling 25% of their tuition. Recipients are Pre-Pharmacy majors David Feutz of Grand Rapids, Mich. and Jason Williamson of Swartz Creek, Mich.
