Bulldog Football Scholarship Campaign supports scholarship initiative

Bulldog Football

Bulldog Football at Ferris State University provides student-athletes the opportunity to earn a Ferris education and the opportunity to work with high-caliber coaches and staff while competing for a conference championship.

Friends and alumni of Ferris can help keep tradition alive and support the Football program by giving to the Ferris State University Bulldog Football Scholarship Campaign. Supporting Bulldog Football through the campaign will help increase the number of scholarships available to student-athletes in the Football program.

"Friends and alumni of Ferris State University are tremendous supporters of the Football program," Coach Jeff Pierce said. "The generosity of their support has been overwhelming and it's this effort that will help make more scholarships available for student-athletes."

Presently, the NCAA allows Division II football the opportunity to award 36 scholarships annually. Ferris falls well below this number. Because of this shortfall, it is critical to pursue scholarship dollars from alumni and friends of Ferris football.

"In the current fiscal times, financial support from outside the University is crucial for our chance to be successful," said Tom Kirinovic, Athletics director. "Coach Pierce and his staff have worked extremely hard to recruit outstanding young men to represent Ferris State University and to raise additional funds to assist in the recruiting process.

"The donors who have contributed to this campaign have left a positive stamp on our program for years to come. For that we are extremely grateful," Kirinovic added.
