*College of Professional and Technological Studies Graduates
Graduates in the College of Professional and Technological Studies who wish to participate in the Big Rapids ceremony will attend with their affliated college.
For example, a student graduating with a Criminal Justice degree will graduate with the College of Education and Human Services. Students recieving a degree in Industrial Technology and Management or Digital Animation and Game Design will graduate with the College of Professional and Technological Studies.
Graduates in programs at Dowagic, Flint, and Traverse City have the choice of attending their local ceremony, traveling to the main campus, or attending both.

Announcements:
Both standard and personalized graduation announcements may be purchased at the Lundberg Bookstore in person or by calling (231) 591-2607. If you have a question on the name of the degree or how it should be listed on an announcement please contact your college's Commencement Coordinator.
Caps and Gowns/Honor Cords:
Caps and Gowns will be available starting Tuesday, March 30, 2010 in the Lundberg Bookstore, located in the Rankin Student Center. Caps and gowns may be purchased with cash, check or credit card. Graduates who require a special size gown should contact the bookstore prior to April 2, 2010 to ensure prompt delivery.
If you are unable to visit the Bookstore to purchase your regalia, you may contact them at
(231) 591-2607 to request that your cap and gown be sent to you. A shipping fee will be charged to all orders that are shipped.
Note: Graduates must wear the appropriate academic regalia (cap and gown)
in order to participate in the Commencement ceremonies.
Exit Interviews:
If you are graduating and have a loan, you will will to do Loan Exit Counseling before you graduate. Click here for more information.
Honor Cords:
Students who are eligible to receive a honor cord from the Colleges of Allied Health Sciences and Education and Human Services may purchase them at the Ferris Bookstore located in the Rankin Student Center.
Students who are eligible to receive a honor cord from the Colleges of Arts & Sciences, Business, Engineering Technology and Professional and Technological Studies may pick up their honor cord from their college's Commencement Coordinator.
Honors designations are based on the accumulated average earned during all enrollment periods except for spring semester 2010. For honors designations click here.

Instructions for Graduates:
Each graduate will receive instructions for graduation when they pick up their tickets from their college.
James L. Lundberg Bookstore:
Visit the James L. Lundberg Bookstore, located in the Rankin Student Center, to purchase caps and gowns, tassels, annoucements and other alumni apparel.

Length of Ceremony:
Each ceremony will be approximately an hour and a half in length. The doors will open for guests approximately one hour prior to the start of each ceremony.
Location:
All Big Rapids ceremonies will be held in the Convocation Center at the Ewigleben Sports Complex. Click here for a map.
Photographer Information:
A professional photographer will take photographs of each graduate during the ceremony. After Commencement, Graduation Foto will contact each graduate by e-mail or by mail with ordering information. You may contact Graduation Foto by calling (800) 482-0321.
Tickets:
Due to the large number of students participating in commencement, seating is limited and admission to the ceremony is by ticket only. Guest admission to the ceremony is by ticket only. Tickets are not required for children (2) two and under. The Commencement Office or college offices do not have or sell additional tickets or distribute unclaimed tickets. Lost tickets will not be replaced. Please do not contact the Commencement office or a Commencement Coordinator for extra tickets.
Graduates may pick up their allotted number of tickets starting March 30, 2010 at the Grad Fair or from their college's commencement coordinator starting March 31, 2010. If a graduate plans to participate in Commencement, and does not need all of their tickets they may give them to another graduating student who may need them. Guests with or without tickets are welcome to watch the ceremony on a large screen in the alternate viewing room, located in the Ewigleben Sports Complex.
