Honor Cords/Distinction Key:

Honor Cords
Students who are eligible to receive an honor cord may purchase them at the bookstore. Prior to each Commencement, the bookstore will receive a list of students who are eligible to purchase an honor cord from the colleges. If you have any questions about your eligibility to receive an honor cord, please contact your College's Commencement Coordinator.

May 2008 Distinction Key
Participating in commencement is not a certification of graduation, but rather a ceremony that celebrates academic achievements. Therefore, participation in any Commencement ceremony does not affirm the graduate has satisfactorily completed all degree requirements. Degrees presented at Ferris State University Commencement ceremonies are subject to the satisfactory completion of the specific requirements of the individual degree programs of the Colleges and University.

Honors designations are based on the accumulated average earned during all enrollment periods except spring semester 2008. Students graduating with honors wear gold honor cords.
