Arlene Krellwitz, M. S.
Co-Supervisor Academic Support Center
Arlene Krellwitz is one of the co-supervisors of the Academic Support Center at Ferris State University. Arlene received her B.A. degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and completed her masters at Ferris State University in 2002 and has worked at Ferris in various capacities since 1991. Her duties began with teaching the Study Skills course. Six years ago she became one of the co-supervisors of the Academic Support Center. Along with supervising the ASC, Arlene also teaches FSUS classes and advises first semester freshmen.

Jane Pole, M.S.
Co-supervisor Academic Support Center
Jane Pole is co-supervisor of the Academic Support Center at Ferris State University. Jane earned a B.S. in Education from The Ohio State University and received a master’s degree in Career and Technical Education from Ferris State University. Jane has been an employee of Ferris since 1989 in various roles and she has been co-supervisor of the Center since 1997. She shares the supervising position with Arlene Krellwitz. Jane also teaches and advises students in FSUS seminars. |

Marcia Schuberg
Paraprofessional
Marcia Schuberg is a paraprofessional in the Academic Support Center at Ferris State University. In 1979, Marcia received an Associate in Applied Science degree in the Legal Studies Program from Ferris State University. She has worked for several local law offices, for Big Rapids Public Schools, and was director of the Humanities Council of West Central Michigan. Marcia's duties at the Academic Support Center include presenting one on one and small group appointments to students enrolled in UNIV 101, FSUS, Directed Studies and to students campus wide. Marcia also makes presentations for the ASC seminar series. She has been employed by Ferris since 2001. |

Julie Urick
Administrative Support
Julie Urick has been the clerical support for the Academic Support Center since 1997. She is responsible for managing the front desk, managing student payroll, supervising student employees, managing statistics and producing reports. She is the main contact for internal and external inquiries. She is responsible for various other duties including appointment scheduling, Center promotion, office purchasing, organizing student employee events, creating the ASC newsletter, “Tutor Times”, and various other duties, including being the unofficial
”resident poet”.
