This program is an excellent choice for students with a specialized associate 's degree, like business construction technology, legal assistance, retail fashion merchandising. It is also great for students with an associate's in business who would like to add technical or specialized training to their credentials. The major in business administration professional track is designed to prepare individuals for the rapidly changing nature of the work environment in business, government and other nonprofit organizations. The program is designed to equip graduates for entry-level positions as well as advancement. Building upon a core of business courses, the program features a tight sequence of major courses; however, the program also provides the flexibility to specialize in an area of for the student. Students with associate degrees in technical fields will find the program attractive for building a solid knowledge of business and management upon their technical expertise. The major is also valuable as preparation for law school, as well as for graduate studies in business. Basic Admission Requirements: To be admitted to this program you must have an associate’s degree with at least 24 semester credit hours of occupational specialty courses, and an overall GPA of 2.0 or better.

Criminal Justice Generalist Track- This program gives you a general education in criminal justice, but also lets you choose to focus on specific technical skills by enrolling in clusters of courses in the areas of forensic science, communications, accounting, computer information systems, human resource management, Spanish or social sciences. Coursework is designed to provide an understanding of criminal justice, while allowing you to obtain special work-related skills that will open opportunities in a variety of criminal justice agencies, or pursue the Bachelor of Science degree with the intent of pursuing further graduate or professional studies. Basic Admission Requirements To be admitted to this program you must have an associate's degree (or be working toward one) and have completed 56 credit hours from an accredited college or university. An overall 2.0 cumulative grade point average is required, and you'll need to submit official transcripts from all accredited colleges/universities with your application.


Health Care Systems Administration BS

As the health care industry continues to grow and expand, the demand for skilled health care managers also increases. Employment is expected to grow faster than average with the fastest growth in home health agencies, residential care facilities and practitioners' offices and clinics. This program has been designed in two formats, one for students who enter the program either as freshmen or who transfer into the program after having completed an associate degree and the second for students who wish to complete a bachelor's degree while enrolled in a clinical associate degree program. The course work, which includes courses in management, marketing, accounting, quality assurance, health care finance, health-care planning and long-term care management prepares you to work in many areas in health-care. Graduates are able to enter graduate school to earn a master's degree.

For these people we built this degree, the Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS), that will accept a variety of college credits and eases the transfer process. Ferris State University offers an RN to BSN program designed to give you options from day one. As you work toward your degree, you'll choose the class location that best suits your needs, with one day or evening a week schedules. Once you've earned your BSN, you'll be able to choose from a variety of career paths, including enhanced patient care, nursing management, staff development, education, lab research and administration. Your education is designed to enhance your skills in such areas as family health, community health and special populations health. Upon entering the BSN program, you'll work with a cohort group through the entire program. With groups throughout the state, you'll be sure to find one that's close to you. Basic admission requirements: Ferris' BSN program is designed for associate degree and diploma RNs who want to further their educational growth and development and builds upon prior learning. To be eligible for the BSN program, applicants must hold a Michigan registered nurse license. Prospective students must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 in the basic nursing program (ADN or diploma) and in each of the biological and physical sciences.


Respiratory Care AAS

You can live without water for a few days and without food for a few weeks, but without oxygen, you will suffer brain damage within a few minutes and die after about nine minutes. Respiratory therapists, also known as respiratory care practitioners, evaluate, treat and care for patients with breathing disorders. Respiratory therapists treat all types of patients, ranging from premature infants whose lungs are not fully developed to elderly people whose lungs are diseased. They provide temporary relief to patients with chronic asthma or emphysema and emergency care for patients who suffered heart failure or a stroke or who are victims of drowning or shock. Respiratory therapists are expanding into cardiopulmonary procedures like electrocardiograms and stress testing but also perform other tasks like drawing blood samples from patients. Ferris' off-campus program combines online lectures with weekend labs at partner institutions. Internships in hospitals throughout the state are also used to prepare program graduates to deliver the range of patient health services they will provide.
