Welcome Students! Ferris State University's Automotive programs are internationally recognized for continually producing the most qualified and well-rounded college graduates. The automotive department at Ferris State University has over 50 years of experience in teaching, advising and placing graduates in the automotive industry and related positions. Ferris State University offers several degrees including an Associates Degree in Automotive Service Technology, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Automotive Engineering Technology, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Automotive Management.  A Minor in Automotive Management as well as certificates in Performance Motor Sports and Performance Machining are also available. Take a look through our website and contact us if you have any questions!

STATEMENT OF MISSION: To continuously define the profession by producing Automotive Technicians, Automotive Engineering Technologists, and Management graduates whose knowledge and skills are globally recognized.

The Automotive Service Program features instruction in modern facilities with an emphasis on automotive diagnosis, inspection, adjustments and service. In addition, students are taught to test, diagnose, service and replace electronic controls, fuel injection components and accessories, air conditioning units, power windows and seats, lighting circuits, and safety and warning devices.
