Educational Opportunities

The demand for architectural technology skills goes beyond the conventional architectural firm. Attractive employment opportunities can be found with construction companies, engineering firms, and building product manufacturers. The AT program at Ferris prepares graduates for immediate employment, or for transfer to FSU bachelor degree programs in Facility Management and Construction Management or to FSU Kendall College of Art & Design in Interior Design. A related career option is to transfer into Ferris' Career and Technical Education bachelor's degree. This leads to a teaching career at the high school level.

Academically prepared graduates of Ferris' Architectural Technology program have successfully transferred to many national universities such as Lawrence Technological University, University of Detroit, University of Michigan, Ball State University, and Arizona State University. The technology emphasized at Ferris compliments the theory and design emphasis at architectural schools to produce a well-rounded professional education.
