The students in the Construction Technology and Management
Department come from many diverse backgrounds. While the majority of the
students are Michigan residents, there are quite a few students from other
Midwest states, around the country, and around the world. |

| Scholarships |
| To help the students achieve their academic goals, there are several
scholarship opportunities available. Some of the scholarships are offered through the
CTM department, while other scholarships are available through the
University and industry
organizations.

| Associated Construction Students |
The Associated Construction Students (ACS) is a recognized student
organization on the campus of Ferris State University. It is an umbrella
student chapter of the following associations:
- Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC),
- Associated General Contractors (AGC),
- Construction Management
Association of America (CMAA),
- Asphalt Pavement Association of Michigan (APAM),
- Michigan
Infrastructure Transportation Association (MITA),
- National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), and
- National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC).
ACS represents Construction Technology & Management students
throughout their four years of study. The goal is to develop a better
understanding of the construction industry and broaden the skills of the
members by promoting leadership, teamwork, ethics, and club involvement.
To accomplish these objectives ACS is conducts regular meetings and
sponsors field trips, volunteer work, and social events.

| Sigma Lambda Chi |
Sigma Lambda Chi is the scholastic national honorary society that serves
the construction industry in both an academic and professional capacity.
The fundamental purpose of Sigma Lambda Chi is the recognition of
outstanding students in construction. The objective is of the highest
degree of importance. Sigma Lambda Chi was formed to honor the most
distinguished students in construction, who have shown by their leadership
and academic capabilities that hey are truly bound to become tomorrow's
leaders in the construction industry. An additional purpose of Sigma
Lambda Chi is to also honor outstanding faculty members and professionals
in the construction industry.

Women in Technology (WIT) |
|
An active student chapter of WIT, open to all students
in the College of Technology (COT), participates in academic and social
activities that enhance interest and involvement of women in traditionally
male dominated professions. As an organization we hope to influence and
increase female enrollment in COT academic programs with the direct result
of strengthening female representation in the workplace.

| Many forms are needed from time to time.
Checksheets provide the list of required courses and prerequisites for each
degree program. Checklist are required to verify that all academic or
procedural requirements have been met.
