Checksheets: |
| When did you enter the construction
program? |
| |
From time to time, the program modifies the course offerings, prerequisites, and other features of the checksheets. With few exceptions, the checksheet that existed at the time that you started the program is the checksheet that you will need to complete. Prior to registering each semester, you should review the appropriate checksheet as provided below. |

Registration Clearance Form: |

Be prepared to meet with your advisor.
In our department, students need to have an Advisor Hold lifted
before they are clear to register. Many professors will do this while
you are meeting with them in their office. However, if you meet with
your advisor outside of his or her office or if the advisor prefers, you
will need to have the advisor sign a
Registration
Clearance Form and deliver it to the Department Secretary in Granger
227. |

Self-Check: |

The General Education requirements are difficult and somewhat
confusing to follow. You will need a certain number of credits in
Scientific Understanding, Math, etc. Most of this is handled by
closely following your program checksheet.
However,
you will have the opportunity and requirement to select 18 credit hours of
general education courses from two major categories: Cultural
Enrichment and Social Awareness. These are further divided into three
subcategories of Social Foundations, Global Consciousness, and
Race/Gender/Ethnicity.
The following link will provide a graphic matrix of these
requirements specifically tailored for our construction programs.
Please keep in mind that the courses offered in these categories change
every semester.
Disclaimer: The matrix is NOT official and is
to be used to assist you in selecting these types of courses. It is
the responsibility of every student to make certain that the courses they
ultimately complete meet the requirements for general education. |
