Scholarships Eligibilty
An applicant for an S-STEM scholarship must be a United States citizen, national, refugee alien or permanent resident alien at the time of application and meet the following criteria:
1. Demonstrated academic ability
First-year applicants need:
- high school grade point average of 2.50 or better
- recommendation letters
- ACT/SAT scores and admission into selected program
Transfer or current students need:
- grade point average of 2.70 or better
- recommendation letters and admission into selected program
- Applicants who do not meet the above criteria but can demonstrate strong academic potential may still be given consideration.
2. Demonstrated financial need - as defined for undergraduate students by the U.S. Department of Education rules for financial aid. The Financial Aid Office will determine applicants' financial need according to Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) guidelines.
