Geometry as an Online Course
Abstract:
The first fully
online mathematics course designed by a faculty member at Ferris was developed
and offered during the summer and fall of 2005. This talk will serve partially
as a report on that experience and will address all the aspects of teaching a
mathematics course online. In addition,
we will also look at the geometry software used in the development of the
course, as this software may also become an integral part of the geometry
course for elementary education majors that is currently under development by
the department.
