Andy Kantar serves as Director of the Writing Center and teaches young-adult literature and scientific and  technical writing. An author of books for young adults, his newest release is Deadly Voyage (Michigan State University Press, 2009). His first book, 29 Missing, was a Read Michigan Selection, and Black November was designated a finalist for both the ForeWord Book of the Year Award (YA nonfiction) and the Great Lakes Book Award. Dr. Kantar also served as a Senior Fulbright Scholar in Norway for two years and was the recipient of the University's Award for Academic Excellence.
