Welcome from the Program Coordinator
We are delighted you have an interest in advancing your education by earning a BSN at Ferris State University. Students in our program graduate from various nursing programs and work in diverse places to provide nursing care to a variety of populations all over the world. We use a learner-centered approach, which is advantageous to adult learners. It is our intent that the coursework be relevant to your current work environment, so you are prepared to make evidence-based decisions that improve the quality and safety of your clients. Many students want to know what classes transfer to Ferris from the community colleges. Most classes will transfer; the real question is what classes will meet requirements toward the BSN. Accreditation and Further Program Information
This program, accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), formally National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) is designed to build on
your basic nursing education. Course repetition is reduced and college credit is granted
for basic nursing education without proficiency testing. (Proficiency testing is permitted
for some advanced courses.) Additionally, the program at Ferris offers the opportunity
to design your clinical practicum as a project-based experience in your place of employment.
We are pleased you have contacted Ferris State University about the RN to BSN Completion program and look forward to helping you reach your educational goals. If you have any other questions once you have reviewed this information, please contact Debby Buck by email email@example.com.
