Paul Bottecelli (P'43), Fenton, Mich., served as grand marshal for the Fenton Freedom Festival last July.
1960s
Sarah (Sally Robe) Atkinson (AHS'62), Gettysburg,
Penn., joined her husband, Albert Atkinson (AH'69,)
in retirement this past April. She worked for PNC Bank for 26 years.
Sarah volunteers for Red Cross blood drives and with Albert at the
Eisenhower National Historic Site and for the "Friends of Gettysburg."
They spend the winter months in Venice, Fla.
Steve Grainger (T'65), Frankenmuth, Mich., is co-publisher
along with his wife, Bonnie, of the Frankenmuth News, which celebrated
100 years of publication this past summer. The Graingers have owned
the newspaper for the past 30 years, and the paper has been in the
Grainger family for 75 of the past 100 years.
1970s
Rosalie Marie Baran (P'71), Haslett, Mich., received the Lester E.
Hosto Inspector Distinguished Service award during the National Association
of Boards of Pharmacy's 102nd annual meeting in San Francisco, Calif.
Baran is director of pharmacy at Felpausch Pharmacies and also is
an adjunct faculty member for pharmacy law and ethics at Ferris' College
of Pharmacy.
Mari (Fisher) MacLean (AS'71), Walled Lake, Mich., retired this past April after 32 years with the State of Michigan's Department of Human Services.
Roger Martin (K'71), Ludington, Mich., painted a mural to celebrate Pere Marquette Township's Sesquicentennial. The mural is located inside the Pere Marquette Township Hall.
Jack Noirot (B'72), Gaylord, Mich., was inducted into the Greater Otsego County Sports Hall of Fame in October. Noirot helped the Gaylord High School Blue Devils to three conference championships in football and two in basketball. He was also a three-time state qualifier in track and field.
Mark Tomlinson (T'72), Troy, Mich., was promoted to executive director and general manager of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers located in Dearborn.
Max Peterson (EHS'75), Muskegon, Mich., received
the Francis D. Scott Award for dedicated service by a probation or
parole employee from the Muskegon County Bar Association.
Garth Kriewall (AS'76), Port Huron, Mich., has been named communications supervisor for the St. Clair County Regional Educational Service Agency. Kriewall's responsibilities include grant writing, survey research and general communications. He and his wife,
Diane Kriewall (AH'75, '81), have two sons.
Barbara Bolton (B'77), Encinitas, Calif., recently retired from the Donning Company Publishers where she was a project manager.
Kevin Chipman (EHS'78), Saugatuck, Mich., recently
retired from teaching at Saugatuck High School, where he also coached
girls basketball. The Indians went 20-0 during the 2004 regular season
and won back-to-back conference and district titles.
Keith Doering (T'78), Las Vegas, Nev., was recently promoted to project manager at the device assembly facility at the Nevada test site for Bechtel Nevada.
Michael VanAckeren (B'79), Crystal Falls, Mich., has joined the staff of Wild Rivers Realty, working out its Crystal Falls office.

Steven Calkins (B'80), St. Joseph, Mich., has joined
Silverback Systems, Inc. as vice president of worldwide sales. Silverback
is a leader in advanced Ethernet acceleration technologies through
the design, development and marketing of iSNAP network acceleration
processors and HBAs for the IP networking market.
Michael L. Chaffee (B'80), Appleton, Wis., married
Lee Ann Freriks, also of Appleton, on June 11 on Mackinaw Island.
Chaffee is director of field services for the Bay-Lakes Council of
Boy Scouts of America headquartered in Appleton.
Tom McGee (T'81), South Elgin, Ill., addressed the graduating class of VC Tech, an automotive technology training school, this past June.
Ted R. Bowman (T'82), Grovetown, Ga., retired as a United States Air Force master sergeant in 2004. In 2006 he earned a Georgia state teaching certificate and is currently teaching middle grades technology education in Augusta, Ga.
Timothy Raymond (T'82), Minneapolis, Minn., has been promoted by Krones Inc. to senior vice president of sales and marketing for North America. The company is a world leader in the manufacture of fully integrated packaging and bottle line systems, as well as integrated brew house systems.
Jim Beckman (B'83), Greenville, Mich., was appointed executive vice president of Greenville Community Bank this past July.
James S. Couture (B'83), Saginaw, Mich., has been promoted to district manager by Chase Bank.
Alan Thompson (P'87), Manistee, Mich., has joined the staff of West Shore Medical Center as a registered pharmacist.
Ted Zotos (AS'87), Utica, Mich., became principal of Sequoyah Elementary in Macomb Township earlier this year.
Sean Mikaelian (B'89), Metarie, La., has been appointed
president of Newpark Mats and Integrated Services. Prior to joining
Newpark, he managed the $225 million packing division of Flint Ink
Corporation as vice president and general manager. NMIS is an entity
of New Park Resources, Inc., a worldwide provider of drilling fluids,
environmental waste treatment solutions, and temporary work sites
and access roads for oilfield and other commercial markets.
Robert Walser (T'89), Knoxville, Tenn., married Shelley Stokely Przewrocki on May 6. Walser earned his M.A. in business education from Tusculum College in Knoxville this past May and is an education and training manager with the U.S. Air Force.

has played on the Nationwide and NGA Tours.

named assistant women's basketball coach at Eastern Michigan University.
Kirkland helped lift the Bulldogs to their first NCAA Division II
National Tournament appearance during her junior year. She was also
an All-American in both shot put and discus in 2002.

stores employing more than 700 pharmacists.
Sarah Cooper (EHS'05), Kingsley, Mich., was hired as a police officer by the City of Charlevoix this past May. She is the city's first full-time female patrol officer.
