The 1910s
Bernadette Cassidy Thelen (B'15), Jenison, celebrated her 103rd birthday.

The 1940s
George Harper Wildern (P'49) and Jeff Wildern (P'72), Charlotte, celebrated the 50th anniversary of their family-owned pharmacy business, Wildern's Drug Store.

The 1960s
Robert Foster (AH'66), Salem, Ore., retired last year from working in the Enviromental Health field with Marion County.

Carl Wayer (E'67), Dewitt, recently joined RE/MAX Horizons, a real estate firm in the Greater Lansing area.

The 1970s
Richard Barz (B'70), Mt. Pleasant, was announced by IBT Bancorp as executive vice president of Isabella Bank and Trust.

Lyle A. Reene (T'70), Scottville, recently purchased T-One Internet Services, Inc. in Scottville.

Jerry Nichols (B'72), Grandville, is the managing shareholder at Hungerford, Aldrin, Nichols & Carter P.C., CPAs and Consultants and has been with the firm for nearly 30 years.

Donald Bruce Tarnowski (B'75), Sterling Heights, has been promoted to the position of internal auditor at Macomb County's finance department.

Lt. Vic Martin (E'76), St. Louis, is the new commander at the Michigan State Police Lapeer post.

Harold M. Boog (T'77), Mt. Pleasant, was promoted by Wakely Associated of Mt. Pleasant to principal and stockholder in the firm.

Joseph Hibberd (AH'77), St. Paul, Minn., was recently elected chair of the Minnesota Sanitarian Registration Advisory Council.

Harold Innes (T'77), Belleville, is currently employed by Detroit Diesel Corporation as the senior engineering technician.

Sgt. Roger VanderMolen (E'77), Ionia, marked 20 years with the Ionia County Sheriff Department in Ionia.

Ed Clemente (AS'79), Lincoln Park, is the president of Southern Wayne County Chamber of Commerce.

The 1980s
John T. Doering (T'80), Midland, has joined Cyberplast Industries, Ltd., a company with operations in the USA and Canada, as chief financial officer.

Susan July Hibberd (AH'80), St. Paul, Minn., was recently elected president of the Minnesota Environmental Health Association.

David Olree (B'82), Alpena, is opening Huron Chiropractic Clinic, a new chiropractic clinic in Rogers City.

Maria Putt (E'83), Farmington, was named police officer of the year by the Farmington Hills Optimists.

Paul Treiber (AS'83), Akron Township, who worked at Walbro Corp. from 1985-1998 holding various management posts, left to become a full-time cash crop farmer.

Susan Sylvester Wancour (AH'83), New Baltimore, received a Master of Science degree in Health Services Administration with the Outstanding Graduate Student Award at the University of Central Florida.

Larisa Brininger Draves (T'84), Big Rapids, was named by the Michigan Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus as association administrator.

Navy Lt. Cassandra Johnson (AS'86), FPO AP, Cal., recently conducted a four-day port visit to Jebel Ali in the United Arab Emirates, while stationed with the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk.

Paul West (B'86), Irving, Texas, has recently been appointed senior marketing manager, Product and Process Development, with GTE Communications Corporation in Irving.

Deacon Gerald Vincke (B'87), Ann Arbor, was ordained as a Catholic priest at St. Mary Cathedral in Lansing.

The 1990s
Charles Adams (E'90), Jackson, was awarded deputy of the year by the Jackson County Sheriff's Department and Jackson Police Department.

Patricia Martin (E'90), Big Rapids, was the winner of the 1998 Citizen Recognition Award at a Big Rapids city commission meeting. Martin started the senior citizen recreation program and has provided many activities for senior citizens for the past 16 years.

Rich Mate (B'90), Grand Rapids, currently is the sales and marketing manager for Grand Rapids Metaltek.

Mike Slater (B'90), Traverse City, has joined River's Edge Construction as construction manager.

Robert Cummings (B'92), Bay City, recently accepted a position with the Dow Chemical Company Domestic Tax Department.

Richard G. Buyse (E'93), formerly of East Tawas, was promoted to detective investigator for the Detroit Police Department.

Lamarr Johnson (E'93), Battle Creek, was presented as the 1999 Battle Creek Police Officer of the Year during the Police Memorial Service and Awards Program.

Jeff Baxter (B'94), Lincoln, is now one of the working owners of the Backwoods Bistro in Lincoln.

Christopher Brace (E'94), Portland, Ore., has just completed his first year as a police officer for the Portland Police Bureau.

Marcy Beason Cappo (B'94), Flushing, is now working in Flint for the Chapter 13 Trustee's Office.

Marylee Pakieser (AH'94), Traverse City, was the keynote speaker at the 1999 Celebration of Nursing on May 4 at the University Club, Michigan State University. She is a family nurse practitioner at West Front Primary Care.

Jodi Palm (P'94), Sterling Heights, is currently working for Rite Aid as a pharmacy manager in Washington Township.

Navy Hospitalman William J. Wilson (B'94), Norfolk, Va., recently graduated from Field Medical Service Technician Course at Field Medical Service School, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Jeff Broome (T'95), Ovid, is presently a top sales consultant with Computerized Facility Integration, a Detroit facility management consulting and integration firm.

Kenneth Chester (E'95), Grand Rapids, recently graduated from Ohio Northern University's Pettit College of Law. He received the degree of Juris Doctor.

John K. Piatt (T'95), Ann Arbor, has joined McNamee, Porter & Seeley, Inc., a multi-discipline engineering company.

William Stevens (T'96), Columbia, Tenn., is the now the process engineer for Murray, Inc. in Lawrenceburg, Tenn.

Danny Strong (B'96), Rockford, Ill., has completed a golf apprenticeship in Germany and is now working for Physicians Sales Service in Rockford.

Mark Mahon (E'97), Burton, has joined the Burton Police Department as an officer.

Bill Schlueter (AS'97), Jackson, is a new manager trainee at the 84 Lumber in Adrian.

James Wern (E'97), Hazel Park, is a new police officer at Hazel Park.

Timothy J. Gross (B'98), Washington, Penn., is resident area coordinator with Washington & Jefferson College, working on his master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs Emphasis.

Andrea Stevens (P'98), Columbia, Tenn., is now employed as a staff pharmacist by CVS Pharmacy in Columbia.

Brian Wenzel (E'98), Elba Township, is the newest member of the Davison Township Police Department.
