GE Recognizes Alums
Out of the 450 attendees at the GE Commercial meeting in Orlando Fla., last January, three Ferris Plastics Engineering Alumni walked away with national sales awards and were honored on stage with the president and vice president of GE Plastics, a global company worth more than $8 billion. Account manager Heath Schmid (T’96), Rockford, Mich., was recognized as Americas Sales MVP and Sales Region of the Year Niche Team. Market development manager Steven Ouendag (T’03), Grand Rapids, Mich., was and Application Development Specialist MVP. Linda Meeuwenberg (AH’68, EHS’78), Stanwood, Mich., Ferris Professor Ermeritus in Dental Hygiene was one of 25 opinion leaders from the US and Canada invited to attend a consensus conference in Boston. The conference featured researchers from diverse fields relating recent research and changing paradigms in oral health products and the connection of oral health to overall systemic health. Proctor & Gamble will be disseminating information to the oral health community via product representatives, school representatives and trade shows. |
