Ferris State’s annual Spring Reunion Banquet, which took place Thursday, May 6, at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center in Big Rapids, was the first in a series of important end-of the semester ceremonies for the University. On Friday, May 7, the University dedicated the Granger Center for Construction and HVACR (see page 16 in this issue), and held the first of four commencement ceremonies that took place both Friday and Saturday.
Spring Reunion 2004 celebrated the 50th anniversary of the class of 1954, whose alumni were inducted as Ferris State’s newest Golden Eagles. They were recognized by C. Andrew Edwards, president of the Ferris State Alumni Association. Joining Edwards in addressing all of the returning alumni were University Board of Trustees Chair Bruce Parsons (above center, with John Whalen, B ‘54) and President David Eisler.
Three Bulldogs were honored with Pacesetter Awards, and four others received Distinguished Alumni Awards. Three current students were recognized for their service to the University with the John and Sue Bradac Above and Beyond Award.
