The 1950s
Dewaine Robinson (P’55), Grand Blanc, Mich., received the 2004 Michigan Pharmacists Association Executive Board Medal Award.

The 1960s
James Yates (AS’62), Rockford, Mich., recently retired from Forest Hills Schools after serving 39 years in education.
Michael Powers (B’64), Hart, Mich., retired April 1, 2004, from Powers Clothing Store where he had been a co-owner for 40 years.
Don Roseberry (B’66), Birch Run, Mich., recently retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan after 30 years in marketing and sales management.
Bob Wight (T’66), St. Johns, Mich., was recently promoted to senior vice president of the firm Hobbs+Black Associates, Ann Arbor.
Mark Brzezinski (AS’68), Excelsior, Minn., retired in June 2004 as an elementary teacher for the Minnetonka Public Schools after 34 years of service.

The 1970s
Jerry Homminga (AH’71), Rockford, Mich., was recently appointed city manager for Cedar Springs after serving as interim manager since November of 2003.
Bruce Rendon (T’71), was installed as president of the Michigan Association of Home Builders for the 2004 term.
Keith Sivier, (EHS’71), Standish, Mich., was named community president for the Standish market by Citizens Banking Corporation.
Gary Bailey (B’72), Shelby, Mich., was selected as one of 10 influential enterprise regional leaders by the Muskegon Chronicle Enterprise West Michigan Panel.
Martin Eichinger (B’72), Portland, Ore., received the C. Perceival Dietsch Award for “Best Sculpture in the Round” at the National Sculpture Society’s 70th Annual Sculpture Show.
Kary Frank (T’73, EHS’75), Big Rapids, Mich., recently opened a law office in Big Rapids.
Edward Alexander (EHS’75), Onondaga, Mich., recently retired from the Jackson County District Court after serving 26 years as a probation officer.
Diane Geyer (AH’76), Dallas, Texas, traveled to Iraq in February 2004 with a nine-member medical missions team.
Steve Grinczel (AS’76), Haslett, Mich., has been a reporter with Booth Newspapers of Michigan for 25 years and recently published his first book, Michigan State Football - They are Spartans (Arcadia).
Robert Henderson (AH’77, B’79), Bartlett, Ill., was recognized as a Hall of Fame Recipient for achieving the Vice President’s Award for Sales (four times) for Merck & Co. Pharmaceuticals.
Michael Sanborn (P’77), Hudson, Mich., was recently installed as the 120th president of the Michigan Pharmacists Association.
Deborah (Hannah) Waller (B’78), Detroit, Mich., recently retired after 25 years in marketing/sales support for Aetna, Inc.
Carla (Bilinski) Henderson (B’79), Bartlett, Ill., received her master’s in education degree with honors in December 2003 from Northern Illinois University.

The 1980s
Timothy Petrosky (EHS’80), Charlevoix, Mich., has been named public information director for Consumers Energy.
Marsha (Williams) Watson (B’80), Niles, Mich., was recently crowned 2004 Mrs. Southwest Michigan.
Marjorie Giese (AS’82), Reed City, Mich., recently retired from Trinity Lutheran School in Reed City after serving 25 years as a teacher.
Frederick Marszalec (B’84), Harbor Springs, Mich., wed Valerie Marchione of Huntington Woods.
John Copes (B’85), New Lothrop, Mich., is the owner of the New Lothrop Fitness Club, which opened in February 2004.
Beth (Korzenienski) Striegle, (B’85), Pierson, Mich., has joined the Advocate Law Offices in Grand Rapids as a general practice attorney.
William Gendron (T’86), Lawrence, Mich., wed Gretchen Lewandowski of Niles.
Jon Johnson (AH’86), Melbourne, Fla., was recently inducted as a fellow in the College of Chest Physicians. Johnson is an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Florida. He and his wife, Deniz, have a six-month-old son, Bennett.
Ann Lingle (B’86), Essexville, Mich., has been named president of National City Bank in Bay City.
Jeffrey Cipcic (B’87), Grand Rapids, Mich., co-owns Jeffrey Richard Salon, which was named one of the nation’s fastest-growing salons by Salon Today magazine for the second straight year.
Clark Schnepf (B’87), Lansing, Mich., has been promoted to retail sales supervisor of the Lansing State Journal, where he has been employed since 1989.
Michael Gillard (B’88), Ravenna, Mich., wed Rachelle Belanger of Muskegon.
Robert Davison (AH’89), Alpena, Mich., wed Ann Peterson of Empire.
Mike Saum (B’89), Big Rapids, Mich., wed Julie (Gahrs) Cook (AH’86) also of Big Rapids.
Jack VanOss (AH’89), Zeeland, Mich., wed Ellen DeYoung (AH’01) of Spring Lake.

Katherine Henning (O’90), (AS’93), Elkin, N.C., and her husband Nick Carpentier announce the birth of their first child, Spencer Paul.
Michael Mattson (AS’90), Grand Haven, Mich., wed Rebecca Blomquist also of Grand Haven.
Donald Mitchell (O’90), Calumet, Mich., has been named a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
Robert Courter, II (T’91), Shepherd, Mich., recently passed registration exams to become a Registered Architect.
Luke Houlton (T’92), Mio, Mich., is now the head engineer for the Cheboygan County Road Commission.
Alanna (Irwin) Trzil (AS’92), Burton, Mich., and her husband Todd, recently had their first child, Josiah Anthony Trzil.
Daniel Frank (AS’93), Grand Blanc, Mich., wed Julia Ndeti of Brighton.
Dan Maki (AH’93), Ishpeming, Mich., and his wife Sandy had a baby girl, Sarina Marie. Dan works as an Industrial Hygienist with Michigan OSHA, Construction Safety & Health Division. Dan and Sandy also have a son, Jake.
Michelle Olsen (B’93), Manistique, Mich., married John Krusic also of Manistique.
Sherine (Rowell) Lance (B’94), Lansing, Mich., and her husband Gary, had a baby girl, Reva Louise, who joins sister Kimbria Lynn.
Robert Stow (AS’94), Emporia, Kan., recently received his Ph.D. from Bowling Green State University and has been appointed director for athletic training education program at Emporia State University.
Taggart Town (T’94), Grand Rapids, Mich., was recently appointed Vice President - Field Operations for Erhardt Construction in Ada.
Monica Vanderbie (B’94), Portage, Mich., wed Greg French of Anchorage, Alaska.
Kristin Cole (B’95), Gladstone, Mich., wed Troy Bowden of Escanaba.

Faith Heikkila (B’98), Kalamazoo, Mich., was invited by the Ph.D. Upsilon Pi Epsilon Chapter of Nova Southeastern University for membership in the International Honor Society for Computing Sciences. Heikkila serves as IT project manager for the law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C. She also is an adjunct professor for Davenport University online, where she instructs courses in E-business.
Carrie (Walley) Jepsen (P’98), Three Rivers, Mich., had her second child, Lydia Rose, who joins sister Chelsea.
