Football Unveils New Look
The 2003 season will be a unique one for the Ferris
State football program as the Bulldogs will be sporting new uniforms,
both home and away.
Graduating seniors on the team initiated a fundraising
project towards the purchase of new home and away jerseys to give the
team a more modern look. The fundraising endeavor raised almost $14,000.
Serving
as co-chairs for the project were center-guard Matt Desmarais and middle
linebacker Luke Piepkow.
“I’m excited for the amount of effort
that was put forth in this project,” said head coach Jeff Pierce.
“Their initiative to make this change means as much to me as the
new jerseys themselves. This energizes the program and gives the guys
more ownership in it.”
Ferris State’s fall campaign begins on Saturday,
Sept. 6, versus the Hillsdale College Chargers in a non-conference away
contest.
