Governmental Relations is responsible for establishing, maintaining,
and enhancing new relationships with federal, state, and local officials
and staff in executive, legislative, and judicial branches. Such
relationships are crucial to the maintenance of our funding and support
levels, as well as new and expanded requests for resources, cooperation,
and collaboration. We meet regularly with key individuals to
advocate and educate. |
| In particular, Governmental Relations monitors approximately 4,000
pieces of state legislation that are introduced each session and ensures
compliance with a myriad of regulations and reporting and filing
requests, and responds to numerous governmental requests.
