| About the Career Institute
The mission of Ferris State University's Career Institute for Education and Workforce Development is to serve educators, employers, workers, students and parents by
- researching and communicating issues related to career decision-making, career education, workforce development and quality of work life
- assisting primary and secondary schools and other youth-focused organizations in recognizing their role in assisting parents and students in making decisions about careers and education
- encouraging educational programs that improve career education in schools and career decision-making abilities among young people, other potential employees and adult job-seekers
- working with employers to more effectively engage families in conversations about career opportunities and to better market careers to young people and their parents
- assisting in policy development on local, regional and national levels.
