Wireless ProjectInformation Services was directed as part of the university-wide planning process to design and implement a meshed wireless network that covers the campus footprint. A wireless team was formed and tasked with reviewing available technologies, defining the scope, recommending a solution, and developing an implementation strategy. On May 18, 2005 the team submitted a wireless planning document to Richard Duffett, Vice President for Administration and Finance for the advise and consent of the President and his council. Minor adjustments were made to the project scope, time line, priorities, and budget.
