MyFSU Upgrade Project
The project has two (2) major components:

Upgrade our current version of Luminis from III.3.3.64 to version IV.
This upgrade will make the following possible:
- Personalized targeting of channels, channel layouts, targeted content channels, and targeted announcements (more than based just on a user's role)
- Permission delegation down to specific people or departments so that changes to layout of channels, channel layouts, targeted content channels, and targeted announcements can be sent from one department only to people/students within that department.
- Real-time system monitors of system usage and performance
- My Group Activity Channels and My Course Activity Channels which provide users with a list of the groups they belong to and some information about the activity that has happened in each group since their last visit (such as message board activity, new links, news, photos, or files).
- MyFSU group and course leaders will have an InBox of pending group site activities that require their approval and management.
- Implement a parallel deployment environment for MyFSU.
The additional hardware will double the capacity and throughput of MyFSU. This will allow double the number of users to log into the system simultaneously. It will also balance - or trade off - the load of logins back and forth between servers which will create a better on-line experience for the user.
