Responsibilities: The Ferris State University College of Pharmacy invites applications for a position at the rank of assistant professor responsible for instruction of the second professional year practice skills laboratory sequence. The position is a calendar year appointment located on the Big Rapids campus. Responsibilities include instruction of the practice skills laboratory in the second professional year. Course content includes various aspects of pharmacy practice with emphasis on hospital (institutional) practice. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for didactic instruction in the curriculum Pharmacy Practice Management courses. Assignments will be based on previous experience. Support of College and University initiatives is expected. The College's philosophy places excellence in teaching as its first priority while encouraging involvement in scholarly activity. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional communication skills and a desire to be engaged in the clinical education of pharmacy students. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include advising students, orientation, registration of students, participation in University committees, keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance. Required Qualifications: The successful candidate must possess an advanced pharmacy degree (Pharm.D., M.S.) with a post-graduate practice residency (or equivalent) and experience in pharmacy supervision or management or a Ph.D. in the Pharmacy and Social Administrative Sciences. All candidates must be eligible for licensure in Michigan. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications: MBA; experience in pharmacy education and/or hospital pharmacy practice
Salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications
