









Ferris State's Katke Golf Course ranks among the finest University-owned golf courses
in the United States. The course covers over 6,847 yards and is the highest point
in Mecosta County, helping to define the scenic West Michigan landscape. Katke won
the 2009 Mecosta Country Peoples' Choice Awards for favorite golf range and favorite
golf course in the area.
Designed by Robert Beard, Katke Golf Course opened for public play in 1974. The golf
course has undergone some major renovations since 2004 and will continue to improve
in the coming years. Katke is a true test for any caliber of player. Our Championship
Tees extend to nearly 6,900 yards and play as a Par 71. Our Crimson, Silver, and Gold
Tees play 6,333 yards, 5,891 yards, and 4,966 yards respectively.
