Services
FSU Copy Center is staffed by four full-time and a number of student employees. We
deliver and pick up materials twice to over 16 campus
locations,
as well as "special deliveries" to
any other campus address. Below is a list of services
we provide:
DESIGN CAPABILITIES and AVAILABLE SOFTWARE
The Copy Center uses PC's and we have lots of options
for your documents including Microsoft Office,
Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Page Maker, Alto Imaging,
Abby Reader, Printshop, and Printmaster.
We can design material for you or print directly from
your electronic files. We specialize in posters, business
cards, open house, graduation, and wedding announcements,
shower invitations, etc.
MAILINGS
The copy center can provide you prepare mailing whether
large or small quantities. We can mail merge your addresses,
print on letterhead (either provided by you or us),
fold the
letters, insert them into envelopes (provided by you
or us), and deliver right to the Mail Center
in zip code order. You never have to do any of the hauling
yourself. There is no extra charge for pick up or
deliver.
ENVELOPES
The Copy Center can print envelopes in sizes ranging
from small RSVP#4 envelopes up to 10X13" catalog size.
We have many of the envelopes on hand, or we can order
the
specific ones for your job. Our most common orders are
for regular #10 envelopes or #10 window envelopes with
your departmental address and FOAP printed on them.
LETTERHEAD
We have FSU watermark paper available for letterhead.
We will print your letterhead in black and red Pantore
200 inks. We will set up your departmental footer in
the proper format and keep the digital file for future
orders.
BUSINESS CARDS
The Copy Center will print FSU business cards in the
proper format for departmental use. We will set up and
retain the files in digital format for future orders.
We can also do original designs for customers on a cash
basis.
CARBONLESS FORMS
The Copy Center has carbonless paper available in sets
(2-part, 3-part,4-part, and 5-part). We also have individual
sheets along with manilla tag carbonless, and 8½X14"
legal size. We can print your forms and pad them so the
sets stick together, or pad them in a specific number
of sets per pad.
COURSE PACKS
The Copy Center specializes in coursepacks sold to students
through James L. Lundberg Bookstore. These may be ordered
electronically or by using paper forms provided
at
our office. We deliver them to the Bookstore. The department
will receive the original and a complementary copy; however,
more can be ordered if needed.
BUSINESS REPLY and POSTAL INDICIA PRINTING
The personnel of the Copy Center are very knowledgeable
on U.S. Postal Service regulations. We set up and print
business reply envelopes and postcards in proper format,
as well as preparing your bulk mail jobs using the format
required by postal regulations.
UNIBINDING
Unibinding consists of a folder with a clean plastic
cover and resin in the binding that when heated glues
the pages of the document into the binder. Sizes range
from 1/8" up to 3".
COMB BINDING
Square holes are punched into the document and a plastic
binder is inserted. Sizes range from 1/4" to 2".
TRANSPARENCIES
The Copy Center can print transparencies for faculty,
staff or students for use in presentations, or as backup.
These can be either black copy or in full color directly
from your electronic files or hard copy.
SECURITY
The Copy Center understands that some materials are confidential
and sensitive. If this option is selected on the work order
form, we will exercise every precaution to maintain the security
of the material. Only full-time personnel see these materials,
and all scrap sheets from these jobs are shredded.
SCANNING DOCUMENTS
The Copy Center can scan your documents and save them
to disks, either as a PDF or a Word document so you can
edit the copy.
COPYING CD's
The Copy Center can copy information CD's for use in
course packets to be sold through the Bookstore or departmental
use.
SIZE OF COPY
The Copy Center can print up to 12x18" copies.
TABBING
The Copy Center has a tabbing machine that places tabs on folded mail
pieces to hold them closed according to postal regulations.
