  • Step 1.   Notice of Intent to Apply for a Grant  (PDF)
    The purpose of this document is to inform the Grants Office of the Principal Investigator's (PI) and college’s intent to apply for a grant. This does not obligate the PI to apply for the grant. This form need to be submitted to the Grants Office (grants@ferris.edu) at least 30 days prior to the grant due date in order to guarantee the grant being submitted if there is a limited institutional submission (some grants only allow an institution one application).

  • Step 2.   Grant Proposal Approval Form  (PDF)
    This form is to be filled out with appropriate signatures when the is ready to be submitted. The Grant Proposal Approval Form must be filled out and submitted to the Grants Office at least 7 days ( 5 business days) prior to the submission due date in order to guarantee submission. This allows time for the following to approve of the grant application after the PI and college administration have approved it and sent it to grants@ferris.edu. The Grants Office will then get the approvals from the General Counsel (if over $100,000), the Vice President for the Division and the Vice President for Administration and Finance. The Grants Office, with these signatures will submit the grant for you.

  • Step 3.   Notice of Award  (PDF)
    Congratulations! The grant proposal has been awarded! Please contact the Investments and Grants Office at x2156 to coordinate the grant accounting structure with your account clerk and fill out the Notice of Award with the appropriate signatures from your college then submit to the Grants Office (grants@ferris.edu) where they will make get the remaining signatures.

    The purpose of this document is to inform the VPAA of the college's intent to use Ferris facilities, faculty, students, or equipment.
