Douglas Haneline - 2006
A teacher of literature and composition since 1971, Professor Haneline has been at Ferris since 1984. Except for two years in Academic Affairs as Assistant Vice President, he has spent that time as a faculty member in the Department of Languages and Literature. He teaches research writing, advanced composition, American and British Literature courses, and Introductory Latin. He chairs Ferris' Academic Program Review Council.
Haneline is a Fellow of the American Medical Writers Association and teaches in AMWA's Core Curriculum Medical Writing Certificate Program. He served a four-year term on the Michigan Humanities Council, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. He is an AQIP and PEAQ Peer-Reviewer for NCA's Higher Learning Commission.
