Institutional Profile

  • Responsible for the strategic focus and quality of all academic programs
  • Committed to academic excellence, program review, policy development, and academic program planning
  • Build on current strengths by continuing to develop the quality and depth of faculty and staff.
  • Responsible for the continued development of a student-centered environment with emphasis on student support, academic advisement, retention and graduation efforts

  Administration
  • Reports to the President and acts for the President when necessary.
  • Supervises the efforts of deans in nine colleges at the associate, bachelors, masters, and first professional levels.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, appointment, retention, and evaluation of faculty and staff
  • Responsible for the development and administration of the budget of the Office of Academic Affairs and for all of its units.

  • Ability to work with the faculty, with representatives selected by the faculty, and with all members of the university community.

  Required Qualifications
  • An earned terminal degree
  • Credentials consistent with appointment as a tenured full professor
  • Progressively significant academic leadership experience with line responsibility as a dean or above
