Vicki (Sternhagen) DelgadoGraduated May 2002 Doctor of Pharmacy Current Residence: Madison, Wisconsin I am in Madison, Wis. working at a hospital pharmacy. My husband finished his pediatric residency in 2005 and is now in his third year of a pediatric oncology/hematology fellowship. We had our first child, Noah, in September 2006. Honors impacted my life in several different ways. I developed life-long friendships and mentors throughout this experience. These relationships may not have occurred if I hadn't been in Honors. I enjoyed being on the panel for incoming freshman and answering questions from concerned parents. My fondest memories include the everyday interaction with my friends; meeting new people I might have otherwise not met; the friendliness of all the staff and students in Honors. Currently I am a clinical pharmacist at the Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wis. (http://www.meriter.com/). My primary roles are in the neonatal intensive care unit, cardiology, and surgery/recovery room. Ferris truly did prepare me for the real world. The pharmacy program with the add-on PharmD degree was intense but truly made me a good pharmacist and clinician. During the final year of the Doctor of Pharmacy program, my preceptors expected me to be the pharmacist and not just the student. |
