Brandon interned with a Christian musician and a company in Grand Rapids during the summer of 2002 where he learned about bookings, production and touring. In the summer of 2003 he interned in New York City with Arista records, a division of SonyBMG. He graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's in Music Industry Management in May 2004.

Brandon currently attends law school at Wayne State University in Detroit and is in the top 20 percent of his class.
