MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
I believe that all students are gifted; some just open
their packages sooner than others.
Thus, I believe in giving all students the opportunity to earn an
education instead of giving a grade. I
believe in empowering students to do the best they can and to apply those
skills necessary to be successful in the workforce. Learning experiences need to be varied and
appropriate for all learning styles. Using
the Hands-on teaching technique, I believe, compliments as well as stimulate
any learning style. The more dynamic and meaningful the courses content, the
more motivated the students are to learn. Being able to relate what is taught
in the classroom to the student's everyday life also helps create meaning to
what is being learned. As I learn from
my students the better I am to teach. A
good teacher has to know that his or her impact on the students goes far beyond
the subject matter of the course. I
truly believe in bringing all I have to the classroom and to my students.
