Formerly the Director of FSU’s Tutorial Services and Project Trainer for the Structured Learning Assistance Program, Judith presently teaches in the areas of critical reading and thinking; and, transition to college. Her Master’s Degree is in Reading Development from Michigan State University and she has nearly 20 years of experience in teaching and research related to developmental education. Her undergraduate studies include Communications and  Theater Arts; English, and Religion.

Areas particular interest have included working with colleagues to initiate the Structured Learning Assistance Project, at Ferris State University, which combines academic support to students and includes a faculty development component. Structured Learning Assistance (SLA) was awarded the 2000 Hesburgh Certificate of Excellence. Her interests have also included providing career guidance for undecided students and developing curriculum in career education.

Judith currently resides with her husband and daughter in northern lower Michigan.
