Part I Part II Part III Part IV

Each laboratory is equipped with a fire extinguisher, fire blanket, telephone and safety shower. Every hallway and room in the VFS building is equipped with fire alarms that emit audible and visible signals. Each classroom and laboratory has at least two exits.

If you find a fire, you should sound the alarm, then proceed to the nearest exit via the safest route. DO NOT USE THE ELEVATOR. If time permits, turn off the equipment you were using, turn off the room lights, and close the door. Your instructor may ask the entire class to assemble at a certain point. If you are wearing gloves, you should remove and discard them as you exit. If you cannot dispose of them correctly, fold them with the contaminated sides INSIDE and put them in your lab coat pocket. Then dispose of them correctly later.

You should know that, if you pull a fire alarm in the VFS building, the Big Rapids Fire Department will be summoned automatically. False alarms are NOT considered amusing events.

All students are faculty should meet at the intersection of sidewalks between the VFS and Pharmacy buildings near Lake Andrews.
